Protecting Elections and Public Records for Latah County
With two decades in public service and as a fourth-generation Northwesterner, I’ve built a career grounded in reliability, integrity, and steady leadership.
My experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, complex operations, and performance systems means I understand that public trust requires measurable results and responsible oversight.
With a background in records management and process improvement, I am committed to clear communication, accessible public records, and elections conducted openly and professionally.
Strong local government depends on clear records, well-run elections, and responsible management of public resources. I’m running for Latah County Clerk to ensure the systems our community relies on every day are professional, transparent, and dependable.
For more than 20 years, my career has focused on public service, fiscal accountability, strategic planning, and improving complex government systems so they work better for the people who rely on them.
I currently work for the Washington State Department of Health, where I lead performance management and strategic planning for a 100-person public health office. My work focuses on tracking results, improving efficiency, and ensuring accountability in government programs funded by taxpayers and federal grants.
Earlier in my career, I managed multimillion-dollar conservation and infrastructure programs that brought more than $25 million in state and federal investment to our region. That work required coordinating agencies, managing budgets, writing contracts, and ensuring programs delivered real results.
These are the same skills a County Clerk relies on every day: strong organization, transparent processes, responsible financial oversight, and effective election administration.
Elections should be administered with professionalism, consistency, and strong safeguards. My experience improving policy compliance, documentation, and operational systems will help ensure Latah County’s elections remain accurate, transparent, and well-organized—from clear procedures and staff training to strong records management and audit readiness, which will be paramount in the next four years.
Transparent Government
County records and decisions should be easy for residents to access and understand. I will work to ensure county processes are clear, efficient, and open to the public.
Secure and Reliable Elections
Elections are the foundation of our democracy. I will ensure Latah County elections remain secure, well-managed, and trusted by voters across the political spectrum.
Responsible Financial Management
The Clerk’s office plays a critical role in managing county finances, contracts, and records. My experience managing complex budgets and federal reporting will help ensure accuracy, accountability, and strong oversight.
Modernizing Records Management
Maintaining accurate public records is a core responsibility of the Clerk’s office. I will support modern, well-organized records systems that protect public information while making records easier for residents and courts to access.
Efficient Public Service
Government should work well for the people it serves. I specialize in improving systems and processes so services are delivered more efficiently and with fewer barriers for residents.
I currently serve on the board of Palouse Prairie Charter School, where I have been Treasurer and Secretary and help raise more than $30,000 annually for student programs.
My family and I live between Moscow and Troy, where we are raising our family and caring for our small farm.
